Tummy and thighs.

A few days ago my twelve year old autistic brother said to mum, “I love your fat.” It was the most innocent thing. He wasn’t trying to offend her or make fun, he was just vocalising his affection for her and her huggable frame. I just wish she could’ve seen it that way (she was a little offended).

I wish I knew the source for this! I couldn’t reblog it from the blog it was on (it didn’t have a link to the original source) because they were using it as reverse thinspo. Well, I think it’s really cute. Yay tummies!
Just another step in my self-love and acceptance journey! A little love for the one part of myself that I used to hate most. Take that, past self-loathing Courtney! ♥
Inspired by frass.
Don’t assume that I have no confidence or low self-esteem. Don’t tell me that I’m ‘pretty for a big girl’. Don’t tell me that I need to lose weight. Don’t you dare patronize me. My fat body does not make me less human.
I’m not angry at your ignorance, I just pity you because you can’t see how fucking gorgeous I am.
